Adidas TOS 2017 from Vasily.onl on Vimeo.

Adidas TOS is the annual basketball competition in China. That year they were invited well-known basketball player for the final match.

Two strong and very impact brands in the history of the sport were required not less impact, cool and creative event for the young audience. We decide to represent the players as a superhero by using 2d animation in the classic American comics style. Also, we design the custom light installation in addition to huge main screens and fully covered side panels to make it more impact.

The concept, animation, video production, music, light design by Sokaris.

At the right bottom corner, you can see a demo we made for the clients to show them how it gonna be at the real venue at the end.

MIRO launch from Vasily.onl on Vimeo.

Popular Chinese sportswear brand 361 collaborated with Staple Studio to launch a new line of footwear, M1RO.

361 invited 8 digital artists and street artists to create an artistic experience rather than having a general launch event.

Sokaris was proud to design and create the opening show for the opening ceremony and afterparty (sound, opening animation, lighting, mapping). The design was composed of 60 square meters of LED screens, real-time generated content, interactive lighting, and 9 full HD real-time-effect post screens.

For the design we were inspired by glitch and imperfection aesthetics, highlighting the artistic freedom of expression that the new product line embraced.

Nowadays, galleries are faced with the problem of meeting modern visitor’s high expectations during their visit.

To view original works is often not enough, and art institutions must look at providing something more.

Shanghai Modern Art Museum came to Sokaris Studio to help solve this problem for the exhibition of the famous celebrity artist Russell Young.

For their exhibition, Russell Young Superstar, we created and developed an interactive photo booth that not only captures and creates a Russell Young style silk screen print but also allows the visitor to be part of the exhibition. Visitors get their own 15 minutes of fame by seeing their photo among portraits on the wall which include the likes of Marilyn Monroe and Muhammad Ali.

FACELESS from Vasily.onl on Vimeo.

Faceless – Living visuals through the mind of an AI

Faceless aims to explore the idea of empathy and interaction between people and machines.
Can they feel us? Can they speak to us? What way of communication will they choose if they can?
The projected image of Faceless represents the thoughts and feelings of an AI, generated from its experiences and visual senses throughout the day. Faceless is what the AI sees and feels. It recognizes the visitor’s faces and emotions and reacts through visual output. Over time the AI will change depending on the interaction with it’s visitors. If the AI sees many visitors it will be happy and playful, but left alone it will become sad and lonely.
The 30 faces on the wall represent our digital avatars through the mind of the AI, how we are seen at a basic level of understanding, and how we continue to live within the digital world in the minds of machines.
